Taco Time ((Homemade Clean Taco Seasoning))

Sometime last year I decided I didn’t want to use those little taco seasoning packets anymore. Most have preservatives, fillers, artificial colors, and more sodium then I’d like to see.  Plus its super easy to make your own. It took me a little time to hone in on exactly how I wanted it to taste but I love it now-its awesome. This recipe I’m sharing is for 1lb of meat but you could always make multiple batches of the seasoning and put it in a small canister so its ready to go it that is more your style. Homemade ((Clean Eating)) Taco Seasoning

1 T. Chili Powder

1 1/2 t. Cumin

1 1/2 t. Paprika

1 t. Oregano

1/2 t. Salt (I use Pink Himalayan)

1/2 t. Garlic Powder

1/2 t. Onion Powder

1/4 t. Cayenne Pepper

Directions:

Brown meat, drain fat if needed, stir in seasoning. I typically use ground sirloin so there is very little fat and most times I do not need to drain-so I just stir in the seasoning. If you need to drain the fat and your meat looks too dry to stir in the seasoning feel free to add a few tablespoons of water to help dissolve seasoning. ENJOY! It feels great to know you are eliminating unnecessary additives 🙂
